Entrance criteria for MBA from Nirma?

Number of Seats Available: 120
Fifteen percent of the intake is likely to be allocated for admissions to Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Nationals and Non Resident Indians (NRIs).

Eligibility
A three-year bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) or its equivalent in any discipline from a statutory university with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates appearing in the final examination of a bachelor’s degree can also apply.

Prospective candidates are required to fill in the IM application form. To obtain the application form and prospectus, applicants should send a request along with a demand draft for Rs. 1,100/- favouring Institute of Management, Nirma University payable at Ahmedabad to :

Last Date for Receiving Form
Completed application forms must be returned by December 24 , 2007 . Candidates in the category of Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/Foreign Nationals and Non Resident Indians (NRIs). Should enclose a bank draft for US$ 50 or Rs.2000/- drawn in favor of “Institute of Management’ ‘Nirma University’ and payable at Ahmadabad along with the completed application form.

Selection Process

The selection procedure for admission consists of two steps :

Written Test
Applicants for the full-time programme are required to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the IIMs which will be held on November To December 2008.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview
Candidates short-listed on the basis of their performance in the written test will be called for group discussion and personal interview. The group discussion/personal interview will be held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, and New Delhi. The final selection to the programme would be based on the candidate’s performance in the written test, group discussion, personal interview and work experience.

The following weightage will be given for each component of the selection criteria :

Activity Fee: Rs. 11,000/- per annum

Internet Fee: Rs. 5,000/- per annum

Examination Fee: Rs. 1,650/- per annum
