World MBA tour illustrate a huge crowd
It’s not everyday that the best of B-schools in the world assemble and advice students on how to go about follow their dream MBA. And when Quacquarelli Symonds — the world’s leading network of vocation and education — decided to go down on Bangalore as part of its World MBA tour, little did it realize that students would come in herds to seek information.
when the two-day tour kicked off, there were thousands of students, who flocked in the direction of get information on immediately about everything — who are your alumnus, when do admissions begin, why should I study in your institution of higher education, what are the scholarships you offer?
Not merely students, even working professionals on or after all over the country flew down to Bangalore to finish that first step to a global MBA — of getting to meet representatives directly. In all, 168 B-schools from 17 countries were there to present their courses to Indian students.
Before inward at the venue, students logged on to the QS website and record themselves. During the communication, the university legislative body jotted down registration numbers of the ‘chosen’ students for follow-up action on their admission.
The Wharton Business School stall was the most crowded. The premier B-school’s legislature were at ease and took questions in their stride. After all, they didn’t have to market their courses.
Biren Patel, marketing director (India and Middle-East) at QS told STOI: “There is so much of competition in India between students to do MBA. With only a miniscule getting into the premier IIMs, those who get left out do not want to join a second-tier institute. So they look at foreign universities. That’s the primary reason for this hurry.”
And it was not just option up flyers and registering for the course that the extra-large event had. There were board discussions on getting into business schools and strategy workshops on GMAT/ MBA admissions.
