IBM propose ‘serious’ game for MBA students

IBM thinks a way to connection the gap between business insight and being tech-savvy in today’s CEOs beginning with some “serious” gaming. The company introduced a game it calls Innovate that the company says reproduce real-world business setting and helps MBA students “visualize” how technology can assist solve problems or improve presentation.

More than 20 colleges and universities have already included the game into their program plans, IBM said in a statement. Innovate can also be downloaded by universities universal. A demo is also available on YouTube. Innovate is explain as an interactive, 3D educational game and is meant to supplement MBA courses on top of Business Process Management, Corporate Strategy, and Operations and IT Management. The design for the game resulted from an annual IBM-sponsored competition among graduate trade students at Duke Further schooling College and the University of North Carolina. IBM has plans of raising an opposition among schools based on the game.


IBM noted the rise of gaming as a training tool for “serious” challenges such as education, training, checkup treatment, or better government. Innovate is foot on advanced commercial gaming technology, it added. Seventy-five percent of CEOs surveyed by IBM cited education and the lack of qualified applicant as the issues that strength of mind has the greatest impact on their business over the next three years. For IBM, the fundamental motivation is in the direction of address today’s industry necessities which, of course, are ambitious by technology.

A recent IBM study found that more than half of IBM customers cited lack of skills, mainly individuals with a combination of IT scientific understanding and commerce process acumen, as the leading inhibitor to service oriented building (SOA) deployments.
