ISB 2008 batch Gets Rs 19 lakh Placement Offer

Hyderabad-based Indian School of Business on Wednesday said the average cost to company (CTC) which has been accessible to its students this year is Rs 19 lakh, but did not unveil the highest CTC. The inclusive standard of all the international offers including those from the US, Europe, Asia Pacific and Middle East stood at 1,44,812 dollars. According to ISB’s report, the international averages of the US stood at 1, 38,614 dollars, Europe at 1, 56,658 dollars, Asia Pacific at 1,45,607 dollars and Middle East at 1,25,389 dollars.

The number of global companies visiting the ISB has doubled this year with 41 new foreign firms visiting the campus for the first time. Asked why the institute was not revealing the highest salary package offered, ISB Deputy Dean Ajit Rangnekar told reporters, “Talking about a few fat packages does not give a true picture of the industry trends and the hope of the students shoot up drastically.


The offers include a diversity of functions and industries such as consulting, manufacturing, real estate, IT and others. While maximum placements have happened in the financial services (22 per cent) and consulting (44 per cent). This year a total of 81 per cent scholar have made career shifts. Interestingly, the batch of 2008 had 25 per cent women, which according to ISB is the largest number in an Indian B-School.
