ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test (IBSAT) 2008

The MBA Program

The Application Modalities are with reference to IBSAT® 2007, the Common Aptitude Test for the Programs of Icfai Business School (IBS) namely the 2-year MBA Program at all campuses and the 1-year Executive PG Program at Hyderabad.

IBSAT® : IBSAT® is based on GMAT® format with multiple choice questions and tests the applicant’s abilities in quantitative techniques, data adequacy, vocabulary, writing skills, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, candidates must be graduates in any discipline, with 50% or more marks in the aggregate. Final year degree students awaiting their results can also apply for the program.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises of IBSAT® and interviews. Applicants are required to appear and qualify the IBSAT® 2007. Alternatively, GMAT® scores are also accepted by IBS. The GMAT® code number of IBS is 7061. The applicants short-listed on the basis of their performance in the IBSAT® 2007/GMAT® score are called for the interviews. The students shortlisted for interviews will be supplied with a copy of the prospectus and the application material.

Online Registration

Applicants interested in registering for the IBSAT® 2007 can fill up the online Registration Form available at www.ibsindia.org/ibsat and make payment of Rs.1,000 towards cost of IBSAT® 2007 Bulletin, using credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Citibank Card) through secure internet payment gateway and the Bulletin will be sent to them.

Applicants registering online should attach their scanned color photograph along with the online application.

The filled in OMR Application Form should be sent to the Admissions Officer, through speed post or courier, at the following address.

Important Dates

  • Last date for receipt of completed Application Form is November 20, 2007
  • Online Admit Cards : From November 20, 2007 onwards at www.ibsindia.org/ibsat
  • IBSAT® 2007 Test Date : December 16, 2007 (Sunday) : 9.30 am – 12.00 noon
  • Reporting Time : 8.30 am at Test Center
  • Dispatch of Interview call letters : January 03, 2008
  • Interviews & Admission Decision : February 4-18, 2008

  • Regular Classes: June 02, 2008

Executive PG Program (Regular Classes): May 01, 2008

Program Structure

The program comprises of 27 courses (of which 19 are compulsory courses and eight are elective courses), a summer internship program, a business research project and three soft skills labs. These courses are spread over four semesters. In addition to these, the student can also pursue two optional free elective courses.
