The University of Malaya Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme is a world-class programme covering the key areas of contemporary management practice. MBA graduates possess an impressive array of both theoretical and practical knowledge, which allows them to compete well in all aspects of the business world. (a) Possess a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification; or a professional qualification from a recognized organization; and (b) At least 2 years of working experience after graduation. Language Requirement: English Foreign candidates are required to: Have at least IELTS Band 6 or TOEFL 550 if their first degree is from a university where English is not the medium of instruction. Or Programme Structure Candidates are required to complete the compulsory coursework prepared by the department, and any electives chosen by the candidate. Successful completion of the programme (including any academic examinations) must be achieved within 10 semesters.Core Subjects: -Management Information Systems How to Apply Application Procedure for Malaysian Applicants Applications for Bachelor Degree and Foundation Studies Programmes offered by the University of Malaya can be made online through the Student Intake Administration Division, Ministry of Higher Education. The programmes are offered to applicants who meet the University’s prerequisites and the specific programmes requirements. The application deadlines for the specific qualifications are as follows Applicants with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) Applicants with Diplomas or Equivalent Qualification Applicants with Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) or Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) Applicants with Matriculation To apply, candidates must first obtain a unique ID number from BSN outlets all over Malaysia by paying: Candidates with SPM/equivalent - RM 10.60 Candidates With STPM/STAM/equivalent -RM 15.60 Entry Requirement
The minimum entry requirement is the national Higher School Certificate (or an A-level equivalent). Applicants, who do not fulfill the Malay Language requirement, will be required to take the Malay language course during their tenure as a student. Fees Download the fees details here Programme Structure The academic programme is by the semester system and it commences in July (for Semester 1) and December (for semester 2). A total of 100 to 130 credit hours are required to complete a degree programme. The medium of instruction is in English (for science based related courses). Social Science based programmes however may use the Malay Language. All international students are required to undergo compulsory Malay and English courses ranging from 3 to 6 months. These courses will be conducted by the University commencing from February to June or/and September to December. Students with a TOEFL score of 550 and above or IELTS Band 6 and above or General Certificate of Secondary Education (O Level), University of Cambridge with a minimum of C6 and above or General Certificate of Education (A Level), University of Cambridge with a pass may be exempted from the English language courses.
