FMS is the common abbreviation for the Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. One of the leading business schools, it offers MBA (full-time/part-time), MBA in Management Services (full-time), MBA in Healthcare Administration (part-time), Management Development courses and Doctoral programs. The institute conducts a separate test on an all India basis. FMS scores can’t be used for admission into any other institute. FMS tests are conducted in the month of January. Admission forms along with relevant information can be obtained from the designated State Bank of India branches from the first week of October. Eligible applicants will be called for a written entrance test. On the basis of their performance, candidates will be called for interviews and group discussions. Eligibility Criteria MBA Full-time General candidates applying a full-time MBA course must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream. The minimum cut-off percentage required in the different disciplines are given below: • Arts and Commerce streams - 50% • Science stream - 55% • Mathematics or Statistics - 60% • Medicine, Engineering or Technology - 60% / CGPA of at least 6.00 in a scale of 10.00 pursued at least a 3-year • Post Graduate applicants need a 60% aggregate to apply for admission MBA Part-time • Candidates applying for part-time MBA course must have a Bachelor’s Degree with 45% aggregate • Candidates should have at least three years work experience as an executive or an administrator in a commercial, industrial or government establishment after passing the Bachelor’s Degree Examination. Summer interns and workshops will not be considered as experience • Candidates must be sponsored by his/her present employer The FMS test paper comprises of around 175 objective type questions. The duration of the test is two hours. Overall, in comparison to CAT, it is easier to score a good aggregate in the FMS test papers.
